YETI’S SPAGHETTIS STICKER

It’s not just a clever name: Dave Yeti’s parents were some of the earliest residents of Tripping Falls; they came here shortly after the Rulison Project sent mutant refugees to rural parts of the state.

A Tripping Falls favorite since the late ’70s, The Yeti’s Spaghettis faces a unique challenge today that many Old West dining establishments faced: Diverse types of food. Instead of relying on deliveries (that often could not get within a reasonable range of the town), the food establishments of Tripping Falls had to rely on as much locally sourced food as possible. As one of the shining examples of early agrarian communities, Tripping Falls always had plenty of game, and plenty of high-altitude crops that were nurtured by irrigation from the nearby Encampment River: root vegetables, peas, greens, broccoli and cauliflower.
