Stoning Date Set for Man Who Said ‘You Too’ to Waiter’s ‘Enjoy Your Meal’

In response to a move that’s being called “the worst gaffe in town history” by residents of Tripping Falls, a date has been set by the Town council for the stoning of Eugene Dithers.

Nothing Innocent About This Mistake

At a recent night out at the Yeti’s Spaghetti, Dithers was served the restaurant’s classic dish, and wished a heartfelt “enjoy your meal” by the waiter.

In response, Dithers said “you too.”

“I thought it was incredibly insensitive,” said Dave Yeti, who was delivering his scratch-made pasta to Dithers. “I wasn’t able to take a dinner break for at least another hour. So I couldn’t exactly just sit down and ‘enjoy my meal,’ too. You can stuff your ‘you too’ in a sack, mister. Not all of us get to ‘enjoy meals’ at our leisure.”

Fate Awaits October 31

In response to the formal complaint that Yeti filed with the Town, a stoning date has been set.

“Our Town charter is quite clear,” said Mayor Price. “We have a zero tolerance policy for this type of insensitivity — particularly when it’s perpetuated against essential working heroes like waiters, bartenders and squatch hunters.”

The date of the stoning is set for October 31.
